So, pretty much every bride has heard of the concept of a destination wedding. It’s certainly not for everyone of course, and depends entirely on how fortunate you are when it comes to your budget, and ultimately upon the choice of you and your groom. For those that are unfamiliar with these fun and flirtatious weddings, a destination wedding is one that takes place at an exotic or popular location a good distance away from where you live. Some people choose Los Angeles or Niagara Falls or Banff for their destination wedding, but some choose still more exotic and faraway lands for their nuptials. If you’re looking for a truly interesting experience for your to-dos, here are some truly fantastic suggestions for your destination wedding.
Stonehenge
One of the most recognizable prehistoric artifacts of all time, Stonehenge could make for a wedding you and your guests will never forget. Stonehenge carries a sense of mystery, dignity, and beauty unique to its location that is one of the many reasons it makes such a special locale for a wedding. Entrenched with power and mystique, the air is charged with positive energy, perfect for the beginning of your union.
Cozumel
Okay, so it’s not the most outlandish of locations, but it’s not as cliched or common as Vegas or Paris for a destination wedding, either (not that those aren’t gorgeous places to be wed and wonderful cities to visit!). If you want a getaway wedding that’s well-known, but less prominent, and want it at a beach locale, think no further than Cozumel. It’s one of the most beautiful places in Mexico, if not the world over, and is chock-full of beautiful venue options and the friendliest people in the world to make your dreams come true.
Disneyland or Disney World
Again, not unheard of, but still a unique and rare enough opportunity, and I just couldn’t stop myself from including these magical places on the list! What better way is there to feel like a real, live fairy princess, like your love and marriage is as magical as you feel that it is? Disney is synonymous with childhood joy, but those happy feelings more often than not carry over into adulthood. I know it has for me, and for enough others that Disney has packages to choose from for the particular purpose of having your special day at one of their amusement parks.
Picking a venue for your wedding is a hard decision to make. It’s an enormous part of your budget and takes serious time and consideration before you find the right one, and that’s if they have something available for you when you want it. Still, though, shouldn’t your special day be all that you’ve ever dreamed it would be? Whether you want the magic and wonder of Disney or the Celtic tradition and splendor of Stonehenge, you’re a bride that knows what she wants, and you should definitely go for it. You know, after talking it over with your partner!
Wonderful suggestions! I have been to Cozumel once, but I never thought about having the wedding there. I love this idea! Picking a venue for the wedding has been a tough process, but I may have just found my solution.
