I couldn't wait to finish work, time was going by too slowly. Finally the buzzer went so I could go get ready for a great night ahead, I was going to bring christmas presents to a very good friend in Hamilton Hospital who was very sick. I rushed home, changed and sped off to my boyfriend's (Matt) so we could leave. When I arrived I was met by his mother and him, who greeted me with "ok, lets go, we're gonna be late for the hockey game." I was livid. Hockey game? Not going to happen. I told him in a very angry voice that "No, I'm not going, I'm going to Hamilton. I don't care, take someone else." His mother laughed and gave us a weird look as I stormed off to grab a few more things. I soon calmed down and figured if I went to Hamilton tommorrow I could stay all day. I agreed to go. During supper the subject of the " KISS CAM" came up, and we both laughed saying if we ever got on it we would make a show of it :D. So, we left nice and early, sat down, talked with our neighbours, and started cheering for our respective teams (Rangers for myself, and Storm for him). Intermission came, he started getting figity; asking me to remove my jacket, hat and to stop playing my game I had on my cell. I was pretty annoyed at this because I'm usually cold, and second period hadn't started yet. I grudgingly put it away and turned my attention to a lady who kept walking into my view and scanning the seats. During a break, the KISS CAM was announced and to my surprise a camera stepped out into our section. "Wow" I thought maybe they'll choose us..." The announcer tells the crowd of over 6 000 that this one is a proposal, as the camera lady walks up the stairs towards us. My heart is racing as I look behind me to see who the lucky girl is, I was so excited I nearly missed Matt getting out of his seat, getting down on one knee and saying, " When I met you, you scored the winning goal on my heart. Will you marry me?" I stared at him, I looked at the camera and cried. He put the ring on me, and we kissed and hugged, and I cried. The game resumed, the announcer said "I guess that's a yes" with a few chuckles from the crowd. He immediatly let me know that mascara was running down my face AFTER the camera had left. We were both on a rush, so he asked if it was a yes or no, seeing as I was too busy crying to answer. I told him yes. The Rangers won that game:D and my friend was very pleased to know they were the first friend to find out the next day. I later found out that he'd been wanting to do it for a while, and he wanted it to be our day, not a holiday. He called my grandparents for their season tickets, called The Aud in Kitchener and asked how he could do it that night. It was an amazing night and I will never get bored of reliving it. Our date is August 11, 2012, at Webster's Falls, Ontario.
